  1. Bill,
I knew you were someone special when I first met you back in 1997. I’m not sure if you remember that afternoon when a group of us from work met at a local club. I remember thinking to myself as I left that night, here is someone very different and special. It was a pleasure working side by side with you all those years. I look forward to reading everything you publish. In our strange world, I consider you a friend. Best wishes, Scully.

    1. Scully,
Read the chapter, “Can RVs Really Be Green.” A little surprise for you. I count you as a good friend and you are far above the mold of our co-workers. You were one of the few who I saw as true and honest support. I always strive to be kind and considerate of everyone. I couldn’t understand the level of incivility and disrespect I encountered toward the end of my career. I think there are nurses and other doctors who make a hobby of trying to bring people down. I guess it makes them feel more secure. Squids! The corporate culture has been chipping away at us for years. I’m glad to be out of that ugly soup, though I miss doing surgeries and I miss my patients. However, every time I see the traffic report on the morning news I think, “Halleluah!” I would love to get together sometime. We should be back around March. We went all the way up the Okanagan Valley last summer. I wondered how close we were to your place. Going up from the border I thought I was in a time warp. People in tie-dyed hitching and grooving. It was like being back in the day. You’ve chosen a good spot. All the way up to Kelowna, a great town, there are solid orchards. It’s paradise. I’m mulling over a whole new book about our Canada trip. We loved it there. I hope things are going well for you and Shari and I hope you are getting close to get-out-of-jail-free time. The majority of my friends are still looking at more years of work. It pisses me off. I wanna play. I think you are one who will enjoy the book. I sent chapters out to people as I was writing. Few seemed to enjoy both the narrative and the technical, usually one or the other. Everyone seemed to like the photos. I learned too late that I could have included a lot more images in the eBook without bloating the file. I’m not going to revise it. Next time. The writing is a joy, the publishing and web site and promoting are a pain. Just in case you are contemplating spilling your wide wisdom on a page. I’ll try to reach you when we are back. Heading south once again.
      Fare well, my brother.
      Bill
